“North Putnam” screening at Jengo’s Playhouse

Loading Events

North Putnam, a feature-length film by award-winning director Joel Fendelman, depicts a year in the life of a rural Indiana school district and the community it serves. Crafted with empathy, a hyper-real reporting lens, and skillfully lush cinematography, the film aims to reach across divides and to spark action-oriented conversations about the interdependence between public schools and community development. North Putnam is a special initiative of The Castle, a nonprofit organization that partners with public schools in Putnam County, IN.

Join us for Social Hour at the Jengo’s Backyard Bar at 6:30pm and stay after the screening for a Q&A with the filmmaker and local community members! This screening is brought to you by South Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, UNCW’s Kenan Auditorium Presents, Cucalorus Film Foundation, WHQR, and Working Films.
